Pogo.com offers 100+ FREE online games suitable for multiple ages and interests. They have everything from simple, relatively low thinking games such as Mahjong and Poppit, to Scrabble and card games that require some level of concentration, all the way up to Chess and casino games that require skill. Pogo.com even offers multi-player games!
I prefer the low thinking games and some of the classic board games. Nutty (age almost 6) loves that she can play the low thinking games (Bejeweled and Poppit) just like her mom! We use online games from Pogo.com as rewards for Nutty and sometimes as a quiet activity before bed to help her wind down. Tottie (age 3.5) likes to help Nutty and me by pointing out strings of similar colors. She hasn’t quite mastered the computer well enough to play a game on her own but she’s definitely trying!

Hi Jamie,
ReplyDeleteI run a BadgeHungry, a Pogo fan site and I can't stress this enough:
Please make sure to supervise your children while they do anything online!
There are some real creepers out there and unfortunately Pogo has its fair share. Even if you are right there, you should turn off the chat display so kids can't see what's scrolling past. You can turn chat off in the chat settings -- the button has a gear on it -- on the right hand pane.
